Wendy has been riding and working with horses since childhood. She is a student of classical dressage. She trains with Trish Helmner and Lendon Gray and is a champion dressage competitor. It is her goal to make a positive difference with every horse she trains and every student she teaches.
"It is simple... I Love what I do! I Love horses; I Love to ride/train them; I Love to take care of them and I Love to teach others to do the same.
A Passion from an early age and a Purpose that calls to me everyday. Creating a calm, serene, correct environment is the canvas on which my equine relationships flourish.
This is my Art.
Horses are my Art.
Top Focus Farm is an expression of that Art."
Morgan brings her expertise in field riding to Top Focus Farm. She has been involved with horses her entire life. The first time she sat on a horse was at 6 months of age. Since then, Morgan has taken professional lessons as a hunter jumper, ridden in many horse shows and has always placed. After college, Morgan continued to ride as an exercise rider and horse trainer in the local area. Riding for many clients opened a new world of riding for her outside of the ring. Morgan's expert field riding ability gives confidence to the horses so that they learn to go calmly and safely out on the trails.
Veronica (Nikki) Richey is a 22 year old college graduate with 18 years of horse experience. Nikki has trained in many riding disciplines including equitation, hunter, and dressage. She has competed successfully in numerous horse shows in Fairfield and Westchester County in both hunter and equitation classes. And also competed in the Vermont Summer Festival in 2008 and 2009. Along with her mother, who is also an avid rider, Nikki has helped train several young horses. She has gained hands-on knowledge about horse care by working at local facilities over her summer vacations for many years. She would much rather spend her time at a barn than anywhere else!
